Forget the celebrities that turned up to the first night of Sister Act: The Musical in the West End, (that’s oldie TV presenters Cilla Black and Bruce Forsyth and the original Sister Act star Whoopi Goldberg, in case you’re interested).
The most fun part of the night was finding the way from the London Palladium theatre on Argyll Street to the after-party at Floridita in Soho.
This is how strange showbiz land is – the theatre hired nuns to guide the way. Each group of two nuns pointed to the next group of two or three nuns. I think that’s even more of a waste of money than school lollipop ladies. Just LOOK how many there are for yourself. This REALLY happened tonight at around 10pm in London – bizarre!
